ITS ALMOST TIME TO PREPARE FOR YOUR ENGAGEMENT PHOTOSHOOT…

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR PHOTO SESSION

So you have booked your engagement photoshoot with me, here is a little guide to help you plan and prepare for your shoot so you know what to expect and make the most of your session with me.

I will soon be in touch if we haven’t already agreed with a beautiful location and time I think will be perfect for our photoshoot.

I will provide you with a google maps pin and instructions for when you arrive.

I will be keeping an eye on the weather leading up to our shoot, if the weather is looking poor I will discuss this with you with an option to rearrange.

It’s likely we will have a little walk before we start our photos so it gives me a chance to get to know you all and to warm up! Please wear sensible shoes.

During our photoshoot we will be walking in-between different locations, but having a good chat along the way. If walking is an issue for either of you, please let me know.

My Style & Approach…

  • Warm, friendly and relaxed

  • I understand that this might be your first time experiencing being in front of a ‘proper’ camera as a couple, so I promise there is no expectations for you to be Hampshires Next Top Models! This is the perfect was to get a feel for what it will be like on the big day.

  • You’ll have lots of fun, cuddles and kisses (if that’s your thing!) all whilst I snap away, trust me, you’ll forget I am there and no awkward third wheeling

  • Relaxed, meaningful and authentic romantic photos that truly reflect you as a couple

WHAT TO WEAR?

What you wear to your shoot makes a big impact on your final gallery. If you only do one thing to prepare for your photoshoot, then plan your outfits!

Organise your outfits in advance and try them on. Make sure they fit, you like how you look and most of all you all feel comfortable.

Coordinated outfits look much better over matching.

Neutral, earthy tones make a good base and then select one or two bolder colours, this compliments my editing style when it comes to your final pictures.

Avoid lettering, logos and slogans as well as very bright and bold colours and patterns, this causes a distraction in your photos.

Try to select a variety of textures. Layers also work well for texture, especially in the cooler months.

My top tips to make your photoshoot run as smoothly as possible…

  • If either of you are feeling under the weather, let’s re-arrange, you’ll want to be feeling and looking your best.

  • Take time to get ready, treat yourself to getting your hair done or even put your make-up trail to good use!

  • Try on the outfits you are planning, bring a spare set just incase! Accidents do happen.

  • Bring a bottle of bubbles to celebrate! And don’t forget to wear your ring.

  • Remember to treat this as a ‘feeler’ - there is no pressure.

  • Having your photo taken will actually feel easier on your wedding day, you’ll be looking and feeling the part whilst embracing everything else that is going on.
