ITS ALMOST TIME TO PREPARE FOR YOUR FAMILY PHOTO SESSION…
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FAMILY PHOTO SESSION
So you have booked your family photoshoot with me, here is a little guide to help you plan and prepare for your shoot so you know what to expect and make the most of your session with me.
I will soon be in touch if we haven’t already agreed with a beautiful location and time I think will be perfect for our photoshoot.
I will provide you with a google maps pin and instructions for when you arrive.
I will be keeping an eye on the weather leading up to our shoot, if the weather is looking poor I will discuss this with you with an option to rearrange.
It’s likely we will have a little walk before we start our photos so it gives me a chance to get to know you all and to warm up! Please wear sensible shoes.
During our photoshoot we will be walking in-between different locations, but having lots of fun along the way. If walking is an issue for anyone of you, please let me know.
My Style & Approach…
Warm, friendly and relaxed
Aa a mummy of a toddler and a teenager, I have the experience and realistic understanding that sometimes often things don’t always go to plan!
You’ll have lots of fun, cuddles and smiles all whilst I snap away, sometimes without you or your littles knowing (the best photos!)
Relaxed, meaningful and authentic family photos that truly reflect you as a family
WHAT TO WEAR?
What you wear to your shoot makes a big impact on your final gallery. If you only do one thing to prepare for your photoshoot, then plan your outfits!
Organise your outfits in advance and try them on. Make sure they fit, you like how you look and most of all you all feel comfortable.
Coordinated outfits look much better over matching.
Neutral, earthy tones make a good base and then select one or two bolder colours, this compliments my editing style when it comes to your final pictures.
Avoid lettering, logos and slogans as well as very bright and bold colours and patterns, this causes a distraction in your photos.
Try to select a variety of textures. Layers also work well for texture, especially in the cooler months.
My top tips to make your photoshoot run as smoothly as possible…
Overtired little ones aren’t happy little ones. If they are feeling under the weather, lets re-arrange, try and take the day before easy and not do to much before hand, especially if our shoot is later in the day.
Tell the kids you are going on a adventure, who knows, we might find a gruffalo…
Try on the outfits you are planning, bring a spare set just incase! We know what kids are like…
Tell them you are meeting a friend of mummy’s or daddy’s who is going to take some pictures!
Reassure them that we will play some games and have fun together
Try not to tell the kids to smile or pose in a certain way, it will likely to cause them to become more shy, let them warm up and they will more likely to feel themselves and have fun!
